Our Range Of Roofing Solutions
Standard Trusses
The most cost effective and common roof solutions are produced using Standard Roof Trusses, or Trussed Rafters . These have been available to the building industry since the mid 1960’s. The product has a proven track record as a strong, durable and cost effective way to build a roof. We attribute the success of the product to the fact that it is extremely efficient, economical and relatively quick to put together.
Fully engineered, so demonstrably with strength to spare, these light weight structural components work in harmony to cope with the demands placed on them by the environment, other building components and the end use.
Raised Tie Trusses
Raised tie trusses are what they say. The cross element of the truss is raised up so that it gives more head space underneath. Why would you want to do that ?
From a design point of view this is a simple way of keeping the ridge height of the property lower than it would be if a full second storey was added. At the same time it provides sensibly useable space to the upper floor.
This is a solution that is often used to satisfy the needs of both the home improver/developer and the demands of planning departments.
Attic Trusses
For those wishing to increase the floor space of their property/design without significantly increasing the physical size of the property, Attic Trusses provide an ideal solution. For bungalow “munchers”, or for those simply wishing to put a room in a roof, Attic Trusses combine structural efficiency with functionality to deliver the required result.
Using larger section timbers to provide the strength for both the roof and floor, Attic Trusses are a heavier and a more expensive option than Standard Roof Trusses. However, for the additional floor space they provide they are a very cost effective solution.
